July 25, 201214 yr Hey Gang, I have an idea. If you go to http://s3th.me you'll see a list of favorites that I've hard coded. My idea is to make a mobile optimized Start Page so that when someone goes to their browser on their mobile device they will have links/buttons to go to their curated pages that they want to always have access to. Dolphin Browser on Android (and maybe iOS) has a limited browser-based tab area that limits the user to about 9 quick links. I want to have it so it can be endless. Right now if you go to that page you'll see what I've done so far. I'd love to be able to allow people to signup for accounts and be able to dynamically curate a mobile start page of their own. So I obviously need: A login area A person dashboard area for adding/deleting buttons A front end where people can go to view their page So each person would have something like http://shortdomain.com/username. They can point their mobile browsers home page to this and viola. It's sort of like Bit.ly bundles only mobile and I want my data on my server. Anyone know if there is an open source version of this already? I started this because I wanted it for myself. Then I thought why not let others use it. Thoughts? Ideas? Critiques?
