Help needed for mysql database

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have nearly completed my second website and I am wanting to add a Wordpress blog to it. I have recently went with the standard package on tsohost.co.uk after reading some good comments on here about them. However I am a bit new to Worpress and mysql databases and have no idea how to go about setting this up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

Andy

You probaly can set up a database very easy throughout your cPanel.

You just need to fill in two names and a password, wich you will put in the wordpress form , that's all :)

Think I know what I am doing now, thanks.

:)

Yup, cPanel is the way here:

  1. Login to cPanel at yourdomain.com/cpanel
  2. Find 'MySQL Databases'
  3. Create a new database, it will be: yourusername_databasename
  4. Create a new user for your databases
  5. Add user to database, give appropriate privileges
  6. WordPress can take care of the rest of setup, after you complete wpconfig.php
