I finally customised a WordPress theme for my blog and managed to manually install WP on 1&1. I have been doing some testing on different devices and have found some problems.

 

Firstly when I view my blog in Firefox, Safari or Chrome on my Mac its looks exactly how I wanted it to look.

 

However, when viewing my site on the iPhone or iPad there is a light grey border around the header div. I also added a black line at the bottom of my header div and the top of my footer div to help separate them from the main content and these appear to a grey line appearing ever so slightly beneath them or overlapping them. And when I view my blog on my laptop in IE 8 the navigation has no images and is totally distorted.

 

Because my site looks as it should do on my computer I am a little unsure of how I can rectify these problems. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Not good news I am afraid. When looking at your page source and style sheet the image references are not valid. Quite simply the images are not at the address specified. I would suggest that if you have ftp access you use filezilla or simular to check the relative file paths or failing that do the same through the host company file manager. Jim
