Craig Bibby got a reaction from chromatic in WordPress Site Set up for Blog Integration?
I have designed and built a standard static website in HTML and CSS in DW. So far its pages consist of index.html, about.html and contact.html.

FINALLY; to integrate a blog into the static site I have successfully modified a default WordPress theme to match the style of my static site.

Here's were I'm stuck. What steps do I now need to make to get both sites working seamlessly side by side. (FYI; Due to a few problems with my 1&1 host which I am currently in the process of changing I have installed a local set up using MAMP).

    1. How do I set up the folders.
    -MAMP (folder)
    -htdocs (folder)
    -MySite (folder)
    -index.html
    -about.html
    -contact.html
    -blog (folder)
    -index.php
    -etc
    -etc

    2. How do I ensure that the landing page for my website is the actual homepage I created under index.html and not the blog page index.php?

    3. Also, is there any way to unify the URL's so they wont be showing up differently. e.g www.mysite.co.uk/about.html and www.mysite.co.uk/blog/. Basically, do I have to somehow convert my html files into WP pages?

Everything just looks a bit messy to me at the minute, I hope I have given a clear idea of what my problems are and I hope you understand what I mean. This is all from a beginners perspective and the first time I have tried to integrate a blog!

Thanks for taking the time to read this long post!
