Hello,

I re-designed my website recently.

The problem what I am having is am not getting anything from the website and I don't know if the problem is with design or more it will be with the content of my website.

If there is anything I could improve in design of if please let me know.

Wow, just wow! I LOVE the design. I love how it looks. I just have a few tiny things that you might want to take care of. Could you enlarge the navigation font? It's a little bit small and other people might not be able to read it unless they move closer to the screen so just make it a bit bigger.

It's really nice, although after looking at the source it looks like your SEO could be damaged (assuming you've got it).

 

Your use of <br /> isn't great. I'd try to use margins and padding for moving things about, and tend to avoid using <br> if possible.

 

For example your contact information in the footer is made with <br /> tags - Why not make it a list with the appropriate CSS?

list-style-image: none;

 

Little things, mate.

Also - Try to optimize the hierarchy of your header tags (<h1>, <h2> etc.).

 

The text in the image at the top should be text wrapped in a H1. Not part of the image. Then make "Websites Design" your H2, etc.

They all look pretty decent. I'm not going to go in to the coding if all you're looking for is a nice design.

 

 

Both the highlighted items above; I would change.

- The font is disgusting.

- The image isn't very interesting.

How about this?

I can see one really obvious reason why you aren't getting any enquiries from your website...

 

You're not asking for them!

 

Seriously, you've had a crack at writing some persuasive copy, but there isn't one call to action on your site.

 

I think you need to reconsider your content and navigation. Start by designing the path you want visitors to take through your website. A typical path will be home page -> services -> specific service -> examples -> contact

 

Having your services menu on the left isn't doing you any favours because it's confusing. You already have a nav area, I say re-work it to contain all your pages, then link to the desired next page in your content.

 

When I visited your contact page, my first thought was "I wouldn't want to fill that in." It's so cramped, it's just not inviting at all. Also, why is it below your postal address? It's like you're asking people to write to you (preferred) or email (if you must).

 

Use a strong piece of copy to remind them why they're on the page. "Looking for a quote for your new web project? Contact us now using the form below and we'll reply within 24 hours."

 

Which leads me to your content. It's not working very well. It tries, but just when you think it's getting somewhere, up pops a little gem like this:

Web Design is an area in which we operate.

 

In a column headed "web design". You mean you design websites?! NO WAY I thought this was a formula 1 site.

 

Joking aside, these details can make or break a site.

 

Take a look at your right hand column, home page. It's probably the best bit of your site, but it's wasted. Why? Because it's tucked away from the main content, and it doesn't feature a single proper call to action. Asking people to contact you without giving them a link with which to do so is a waste of time. Do you want the enquiry or not? Then ask for it properly, with a big shiny button, and loads of contrast. They should have to fight with their inner selves not to click it.

Anyway, nice to see a few more folks from Somersetshire. Hope you're not flooded (with water - I wish you a deluge of enquiries)

The design is very nice with the top image and layout etc. There's something not quite right about alot of the type. Is English your first language? I just seem to be reading things in an Indian/Pakistani accent! For example 'websites desgin', 'Do you want to start promoting on the internet and you do not have a professional website? Contact us and we will tell you what solution will be the best for you!' The word you is used 4 times!

 

A more proffesional way to put it - 'Do you want to start promoting on the internet and do not have a professional website? Contact us and we will tell you what the best solution will be!

 

Another example- 'If you are not sure how the navigation system should look like' The 'like' isn't necessary unless you use 'what' instead of 'how'.

 

The font is also standard/boring and could do with being bigger and having more line height in my opinion. Have a look a @fontface and fontsquirell.com for more unique and exciting fonts.

 

I think the foundations are there for a really nice website, just the text, both in how it's read and how it looks lets it down at the moment.
