I have that feeling too. I'll be honest, I think you guys need to go back in the dev process. Start again about the personality that your site will convey about you guys personally. However it needs to be done in the way that will speak to a potential customer. It also needs to say what the benefits to the user are. When designing and writing it is so easy to do what you want to see and read...at the end of the day your potential customers are what is important.
