June 15, 201214 yr Hi all, Kindly review my website www.arsensupport.com and leave your valuable comments and feedbacks.. Have a great day..
June 15, 201214 yr Sure, here's my review. I apologize if this essay is a bit overwhelming, but I tried to express everything that was on my mind. Design / Layout You have an ok website but it's really heavy and "busy." You have a lot of dynamic content, so much in fact that it becomes a problem in itself; the shear amount of resources that must be loaded for your page to function as it was designed to.... it shouldn't be. Also, your layout and the way you present information through your website can be improved as well as general organization of content. Suggestions In my opinion, you need reduce the amount of animations and dynamic content within your website. I'm not suggesting this solely on the basis of the fact that your website requires a ton of resources, but also because a lot of the animations tend to be a little bit distracting. The first thing I'd get rid of is the social networking bar "wibiya" located at the bottom of the screen. You provide links to facebook, twitter and all other social websites in your header and footer so the bar isn't really needed. Furthermore, I'd get rid of the "get help now" mascot that's docked to the left of the website and instead, incorporate it into the body of your website. Perhaps replace the "date & time" panel with a new "get help now" panel. Another suggestion would be to increase the slide duration of the slideshow near the top of your website; perhaps add an extra 2 or 3 seconds. This is pretty small suggestion, but the slides are changed a bit too fast in my opinion. Moving on, lower down on your page, you have a set of images moving from right to left and looping (also known as a marquee).... never ever never ever... never use a marquee. I take that back; despite the fact that people wouldn't recommend using something doesn't mean that it should never be used. There are always exceptions, but still try and avoid using marquees like the plague. You won't find this effect on many website and for a good reason. Also, the marquee I was just talking about appears to be the content of a tab. What I mean is, when I move my mouse over "help," the marquee disappears and is replaced with FAQ content, etc. First, in my opinion, the content shouldn't change when you move your mouse over a link (ex. help) but instead, it should change when the person physically clicks the link. Moving my mouse around, I've accidentally changed the content so many times attempting to click another link. Furthermore, I think the active tab should be highlighted, perhaps in the same way that they're highlighted in when you move your mouse over them. Things to Consider Personally, I'd consider organizing the main content of your page a little differently. Also, consider changing the navigation bar that automatically fades and docks to the top of the screen when it is no longer visible. The concept of the bar isn't the problem, but the same effect can be achieved in a much more simple and attractive way. Coding I won't write an essay here like I did in the last section, but all I'll say is to try and avoid using inline CSS via the style attribute. Instead, use external css files. It's much cleaner that way and easier to manage. Again, sorry for this mountain of text. Kind Regards Edited June 15, 201214 yr by Pete Prosper
June 15, 201214 yr Perhaps you should get rid of the spam words at the bottom of the main page. To me it looks unprofessional. Through GOOD SEO practices you can get the same result. Perhaps you should look at the Google guide to SEO (originally for its own employees), its 60 pages long...but worth the read. Agree with Pete on the design aspects...very noisy site and actually too white. You should think about getting rid of the social networking icons totally. Read an article recently on a design company that won't use social networking icons. THey used to, got rid of them on their own site and their traffic went through the roof. Do you want people on your facebook page...or on your website that has taken time, effort and lack of sleep to produce???
June 15, 201214 yr It feels like you've seen bits you like around the internet and thrown it together in a mish-mash of design ideas. I assume that you just added bits as your went along? I'd get rid of the tool bar at the bottom. It doesn't work. You have different icon styles. Pick one and stick with it. Suitably one that fits the style of your website. You quick links thing is confusing. Why does it change when you hover over it? There is no indication of what will happen, or which area will change. Also, why would I enter a promo code before i've decided to sign up to the website? Remove the SEO crap at the footer. It will only harm your website. If you don't understand SEO, then don't start an SEO campaign. Just run your website and let it be all natural. That way, you're not harming your business. Get rid of the advert that pops up. There doesn't seem to be any clear goals or call to actions. I struggled to understand the website straight away because I had that crap pop up on the screen (adverts, bottom toolbar, that mascot thing, the moving nav) Design wise, there is no structure. Nothing really aligns and nothing really fits. Sorry to be so harsh on you
June 15, 201214 yr ^^^^^^^^ what he said also the one thing that jumped out at me was the URL ARSEnsupport
June 16, 201214 yr Author Hi Pete, Thank you so much for your inputs.. It make me really happy to see a person helping me who is across seas, when i couldn't find a person nearby.. KUDOS TO WDF and to YOU.. I know Pete.. The website lags professional content and design.. I'am a newbie designer and this is the best i could do.. In fact i paid a Web designer $200 for a website and a logo which looked like in the 80's.. I think this website is much better than the other one.. Since this is my own company, i designed it for myself.. WIBIYA & SCROLLING MASCOT- i must have it, many customers who viewed the website in US are not that much tech-savy and they liked it very much SCROLLING MARQUEE- yeah i knew there was a problem there and working on it to solve it, by replacing it with Jquerry animation.. Thanks for your inputs, i will use your comments and improve the content. Do visit my website back in some time.. CHEERS..

June 21, 201214 yr The big 5 ad slides at the top of the page took a long time to load in my browser (firefox) and based on the content I don't really think it is worth taking up that much size or space, also I thought it looked a little strange being above the menu. The scrolling links move a bit too fast for my liking. I'm not too keen on the diagonal stripes either, it's a little heavy on the eyes. Apart from that it looks very professional, well done and I have a site that needs reviewing if you have the time http://openwide.orgfree.com/. Edited June 21, 201214 yr by openwide
