June 13, 201214 yr Hi everyone, I've been signed up to the DIYThemes newsletter for a while now. Something that is regularly blogged about is the use of "resource pages" - pages centered around a specific topic containing an overview of the topic, and a selection of "hand picked" links to posts on the blog about that topic. I like that idea. But one of the many tips that the author writes about is that it is good to make these resource pages landing (or squeeze) pages, which remove sidebar clutter, and often the primary navigation of the website (the idea being to keep the visitor focussed on the content of that page, and minimize the "risk"(?) of the visitor clicking out of that page. Whilst I can understand that doing that may be good practice for typical landing pages where there is a specific, single "call to action" (getting the visitor to sign up to a newsletter for example), I don't know if it separates the page from the overall blog too much in the case of a resource page. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Many thanks, Martin
