June 11, 201214 yr Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right forum but of the ones available it seemed to make the most sense. I'm working on a project for a large (A0) poster which I've been designing in Photoshop. The file contains the layout of the poster but no text, which I was planning on doing in InDesign. I'm not sure if that's the correct method, so any any advice would be welcome on that point, too. I've saved the file from Photoshop as an un-layered TIFF with LZW lossless compression. When 'Placing' the TIFF onto the paste board in InDesign, the image looks very low quality. Thinking perhaps the compression was not lossless after all, I opened the file in Photoshop. However, the file looks perfect in Photoshop. Just to rule out some of the more likely possibilities: The file is not being scaled when in InDesign. It is an exact 1:1 fit at 300DPI (pixels/inch), as confirmed by the Links panel in InDesign which shows Effective Resolution at 300DPI and Scaling at 100%. I've set Display Performance to High Quality at a global level, and checked it's not being overridden at the object level. It is 'better' at high quality than the lower options, though still very jagged and it seems like everything has had an over exuberant sharpness filter applied to it. I'm not sure what else to check and it's extremely annoying. Any thought would be very welcome. Tom ETA: I tried exporting the file to PDF and the quality is fine.
