I am new to slicing in Photoshop and have a question. Check the site I'm working on: http://yellowsparkle.com/ Now check the attached photo on how I'm trying to slice this up.

 

As you see, the elements are sliced nice so I can name them, give them links, etc... but what I'm going to need for my web design is to split up the sections of the page into divs. Navagation top bar, content, bottom, etc... Problem is, if I make a user slice over the whole top of the page for a nav bar, all my other slices go away. Do I have to start over and make the big slices and then the layer based ones again or is there a way to make a big slice over the little ones without combining them to one big slice?

2. Photoshop's slice tool is out of the dark ages when people laid out websites in tables. No competent professional does that these days.
   
3. For the design you linked to you wouldn't need to create a separate image for the menu - it can have a transparent background and just sit above the page background, which should be done with as few images as possible to reduce HTTP requests.
   
4. Not really advisable to use a rip-off of the Disney font for a video production website.
