April 10, 201214 yr I've been redesigning one of my sites again and generally I'm pretty happy with it but see what you think: http://www.simonkilmore.co.uk/ffl2/index.php Bear in mind a lot of the content isn't in and the database driven 'live guide' needs some bugs fixing but general comments on the layout and importantly the colours/contrasts would be great. I wanted to go for the black and white background image with content layered on top but I've been really struggling to get a contrast I'm happy with. It looks ok in normal light but add some glare/brightness to the screen and things start blending too much I think. But yeah, thoughts would be appreciated.
April 11, 201214 yr Its nice, but i believe the boxes on the right hand of the screen should line up with the rest of the page.
April 11, 201214 yr Author You mean they should line up with the nav? The boxes are touching the right edge of the container, the nav currently isn't so adjusting the nav would be the best idea. Any other thoughts?

April 12, 201214 yr The Twitter logo sits outside the containing box aswell, it just goes over the top a bit. Website Updates is the same which makes me think it's intentional but if my first thought was it was a mistake and it should be within the box then should it be? It would be nice if you could do the logo with the text done with the HTML and make the background image just plain, or at least put the tagline in the code it doesn't seem to be there at the minute (The number one Foo Fighters resource...). Same applies to the community forums link, be better if that was text, but I'm nitpicking. Nice site.
