brushes and wacom

Featured Replies

I am new to photoshop, and wacom tablets. Very excited to get going quickly. Any suggestions on some good forums or video tutorials? I would like to get started by understanding the possibilities with brushes as it seems to be where everything starts. I also have the rest of the creative suite, but illustrator seems a little bit too much to start with.

thankyou

hi sonja

check out the abobe forums. Macprovideo.com has some great free videos for all the adobe creative suite. The more in depth videos need a membership, but they are worth it, imo.

Thanks,

I have had the chance to view about an hour of the free ones.

I'll let you know how it turns out. Back to work!

I now have the full pass to Macprovideo.com and have gone through custom brush control, and lighting and effects in cs5. These were very good for me because they follow the instructor as he makes the art onscreen with the viewer. no special super tricks, just real skill being applied to create great art and illustrations. I am always a bit sceptical, so I looked up the author on imdb. this is definitely the real deal.

A+ for macprovideo.com!!

K , so I'm on the road visiting relatives and doing a whole lotta studying creative suite. I have figured out most of the illustrator basics, and some of the more basic photoshop features. As a wacom tablet user, I was impressed when I came across a video with a really cool trick. It was at macprovideo.com(link below). Most of you probably know it, but if not... take a rough sketch, place it securely on top of your tablet, and trace it out, or drop in key points on a linear drawing. Very cool and simple, and never have I thought of it myself! great video, good teacher, double plus good!
