Hi

New to the forum but have been working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP & MySQL for the last 10 years.

I studied Computing at both College & University but only got my first job working in the industry this year. Previously most of my work had been done for friends, family and friends of both.

I thought I would sign up to pass on my own experience, but hopefully to also pick the brains of developers who have worked in the industry for a number of years.

One of the things I'm not sure about is the expected development times of certain websites. I know this is probably similar to asking 'how long is a piece of string' but I'm a little worried in my new job I'm taking too long to do certain things.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to WDF. This iw what i worry about when the time comes for me to hopefully get a job in webdesign.

Hi Dispair,

Just practise, practise, practise I guess :) Also try and step back and see what you can save time on, keep commonly used templates and code snippets handy, save styles and actions in Photoshop, etc. Just found this, either the post or the concept might help.

Goodluck!

Thank you.

Obviously quite a lot of those things I think most of us do naturally but it's reminded me of some important things and also given me a couple of new things to look at doing.

Really appreciate that. Thanks!
