Background Image Problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a small problem that i hope you can help me with regarding the background image on my website.

I want this backgound for the site and it worked perfectly in firefox on my monitor, but when i checked on another computer it wasnt aligned properly (i've attached 2 screen shots and the bg image i used to explain the problem)

I did this using a full jpeg as the background so i'm guessing this isnt the best way.

I'm no expert with coding! But i'm guessing i need to add a left and right column/divider in the html or something?

I've also just read something about making it 100% instead of px but i'm still not sure

Hopefully you can help me! Let me know if i need to supply any more info

Thankyou

Gav

Edit*

Just used W3C Markup Validation and it's thrown up 11 errors

Validate at validator.w3.org, because there are standards for how browsers should display correct markup but they just take their best guess at incorrect markup, and best guesses might differ.

Different browsers have different default styles, like font-sizes and margins. A CSS reset equals out everything to zero before you start work, so you're not basing your design on a margin or font-size value that your browser defaults to which might be different in another browser.
