Template practise

Featured Replies

After a couple of weeks I've finally finished coding a template.

I followed the photoshop tutorial first here...

http://designinstruct.com/web-design/create-a-light-textured-web-design-in-photoshop/

Then figure I'd challenge myself trying to code it.

My effort is here....

You'll notice certain small design elements are missing, but I'm quite pleased with it for the most part.

I'm a little iffy on the buttons. Had all sort of formatting issues due to margins and padding on inline elements and the like.

Hit me with your best feedback, good or bad.

Thanks!

Hi Konnor,

I do really like it, it looks like you've made the layout and managed to code it quite well.

I'm not quite sure what to critique though because I don't want to ramble on about design if you didn't design it because that'd be pointless so let us know where you'd like feedback.

The code looks clean though I think the only thing I could find is maybe add some margin to the bottom so the footer has a bit of whitespace after it. :)

It was just to check the code.

It 'feels' clean but I'm curious to learn if there was anything that could be done better.

No feedback is probably good feedback in this case!

It looks nice, but none of the top links are working for me. Were they working earlier? Or is this just something that got missed?

Just a question: is not a problem to use the same colors and design into the footer of the page?

Is not a bit as copy paste?
