February 20, 201214 yr I'm a developer rather than a web designer and have a question about the web design business. I buy/sell domains in the secondary market and have a few (15 to 20) geo web design domains (originally registered mid to late 2000's). Examples like WebDesignSunderland.co.uk, WebDesignLincolnshire.co.uk etc. I've sold a few to local design companies but was thinking about building a basic site and using them to generate leads which has worked well with other names I have in a different sector. I've seen plenty of sites selling leads but are there any that buy them? Another option that would work for me would be to find a designer in the local area to build a site on the web address in exchange for the first x amount of leads + then a discounted lead price if they linked back from any clients sites. I think that might be a bit of a hard sell + I'd have to find reliable designers.
