hi,

I was about to install wordpress but it seems I need a host to run the program?? see this link...http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

I dont wish to publish anything yet, I dont have a host, or anything like that,

I just want to download it to play around and learn how it works is this ok?

Cheers fo the help :D

Also, do I need to install apace, or will dreamweaver do????

Hi web-rookie,

You'll need a web server of some sort to install and play around with Wordpress. If you don't have an web server you can always download and install something like XAMPP, which is a web server that you can install and run on your PC (or Mac — but I'd recommend MAMP for the Mac), without even being connected to the internet.
