Styling Links in Wordpress

Featured Replies

Ok - so I have this in my CSS:

a:link, a:visited { color: #990000; text-decoration: underline; }
a:hover, a:active { color: #990000; text-decoration: none; }

I want to style any H3 elements that are links differently, so I thought I'd just put this is straight after:

h3 a:link, h3 a:visited { color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: underline; }
h3 a:hover, h3 a:active { color: #FFFFFF; text-decoration: none; }

It has NO effect - why? Am I missing something really obvious here - I'm totally knackered from lack of sleep, so probably!

Just ignore this - it was the H4 headings I was wanting to change not the H3's and so no wonder nothing was changing. Need sleep....
