Adding Search function to a website

Featured Replies

Hi,

I want to add a search function to quite a large website, which is built with in-house code, not run by a CMS.

I see Google site search is an option, but ideally I dont want to have to pay or rely on a 3rd party.

Is there any way to build this myself easily?

It would really depend on a few things.

How large is the website?

Is the website page content saved inside a database?

How are your skills with a server side language like PHP or ASP?

A site search can be built but it depends on a few factors.

Good luck!
