Hey i have been concerend about my portfolio, I don't know if its due to the fact that its not nearly finshed or something else but it has a pagerank of 0.

 

What types of SEO techniques are there to get it raised? or is it because its not finished? Also I have another site that has been up for around 2 month and still doesn't have a page rank, so how long does it take to get ranked?

PageRank is Google's perception of how valuable your website is for your subject matter.

 

Your main factors for PageRank are:

 

1 - Inbound links (and their PR) - Every link to your site from somewhere else is an "endorsement", and each endorsement is weighted, e.g. if Nike finds your site valuable, that's better than Joe's Local Shoe Shoppe.

 

2 - Site age - Older, more established sites are more trustworthy and will rank higher
