I have a main menu built as a list and a drop down as the list inside that....

 

<ul>
  <li>
     <ul>
       <li></li>
     </ul>
  </li>
</ul>

 

i need to use jquery to get the width of the main nav <li> and apply it to the drop down menu ul ul.

 

anyhting?

$('Selector of li element').width(); or $('Selector of li element').css('width');
