HTACCESS Redirects

Featured Replies

I've just taken over a website which is to be redeveloped.

We get a lot of incoming links from other sites I don't want to go dead.

So what I want to do is define a list of addresses and forward them onto the new address. I.E.

contact.html -> /contact

home.html -> /

faq.html -> /faq

I know how to do this with a server side language but want to know how to do it with .htaccess

Jay - I was trying to work out what to google and couldn't think of the right term. Why "htaccess redirect" didn't come into my head I don't know.

Thanks buddy!
