I have a WP blog currently live but it's time for an upgrade. I'm using a few plug-ins so I'm a bit wary to just upgrade without backing everything up.

 

What is the best way to do so? Should I just download the entire thing and back the DB or is there a plug-in that will automate this process for me?

Vaultpress and Backup Buddy.

 

However, for a small site, you might as well just do it manually as on a small site it won't take more than a few moments to backup. Also depends how often you update the site.
