I Need Help PLEASE!

Featured Replies

i've looked around for a place to put this thread but i can't find anywhere suitable, that i can see. i couldnt find a help/questions forum. so i figure i'd put it here, and if it is in the wrong section, please could someone move it for me, thanks :)

anyways, i need some serious helpppp please..

i'm using bluehost to upload my website.. i've gone to site manager and put all of the ftp settings they require.. followed all of the instructions from bluehost on how to upload using dreamweaver, but for some reason it wont actually 'put' the files on to my site.

when i 'put' the files, they look like they are uploading and it says it is complete, then when i check the URL there is nothing.

now i'm pretty inexperienced with dreamweaver, and webhosting.. but i really need help to fix this issue!!

when i have tested the connection, it said it was connected.

any ideas please?

please keep jargon to a minimum as i will be unable to understand!!

i am trying to learn web design.. with dreamweaver and photoshop- and i need to start somewhere so if anyone could please help me it would be appreciated.

thanks in advance!

Hi GC,

What software are you using to upload? You shouldn't be adding ftp details in a hosting site manager but instead some ftp software such as FileZilla. If your uploading your website via dreamweaver then make sure you get a message back from dreamweaver telling you that you have a remote connection. If you need a hand we can certainly take a look.
