June 30, 201115 yr As well as having built their website, the company I work for I manage the Adwords. I'd never done this before. I noticed that we were spending a lot of money on people typing our company name into Google and clicking our Ad. This seemed a pointless drain on cash because we already rank #1 when you type in our name. So, I added our name as a negative keyword, so our ads don't show when people type in our name. Will that have any negative effects, possibly on SEO? I am no SEO expert but I've done my best with the SEO for our site. We seem to not be ranking so fantastic naturally though - any ideas? June 30, 201115 yr No, Adwords won't affect your SEO. Well, the first thing I'd sort out is a canonical redirect. The site shows under both: http://www.jetbookingdirect.com http://jetbookingdirect.com Search engines will see it as 2 separate URL's with the same content. You should pick one to use and then redirect the other. After that I'd sort out the headers - they're a bit of a mess. You start that the page with a H2 which is stuffed into your primary navigation and then follow up with a few H3's before switching back. The first sign of a H1 is halfway down the page! Plus one of the H2's in the menu is a contact phone number Ideally you want more structure. The first header on the page should be a H1 and then any sub-headings H2 and so on.

How do I do the URL thing? I've made the H1 the title over the slider now and I'll remove the H2s from the menu.
