Magento Questions

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I struck up a deal with a company to code up all their client's websites, which is mainly WP based but they have also asked me about using Magento.

I have installed it on a test server, and downloaded the how-to design magento pdf guide which I am about to start reading.

But... what they also want is a general price guide for doing them a magento site. The design will be done by their graphic designer guy, all i have to do is turn the PSD into the real thing.

I know this question maybe broad as it is long, but can i be cheeky and ask how many hours you would spend turning psd into theme and how much do you charge?

Rough estimates are fine. I know its a silly question, and once ive created my first theme I can then make a assumption that it'll take me X amount of hours, so it'll cost them X amount for the work.

Thanks in advance

I would more than lightly spend 2-3 hours (and plenty of coffee) depending on the complexity of the design. and would charge in the zone of 75-150 pound again depending on the complexity of the design. Hope this helps...
