Scrolling text problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

My site is w w w. chelseafc -news. co . uk (Can't post links yet)!

The code i have is

<marquee bgcolor=orange width=800 height=15> Moving Text </marquee>

I want to position it at the top. When i do this it takes away the menu background and i lose my menu? I have tried taking the picture and header but had no luck? Any ideas why?

Cheers

not answering your problem, but have you thought of putting a twitter feed onto the page instead of a marquee?

This displays it at the top (tested in IE7 and Firefox):-

<body>
<marquee style="display: block; margin: auto; width: 800px;"
bgcolor=orange height=15 scrollamount="3">Chelsea get
Man United in the Champions League Quarter Finals! </marquee>
 <div id="container">
 <div id="header"><img src="images/logo.jpg" alt="logo"></div><!--

close header -->

    <ul id="nav">
      <li><a href="index.html">HOME</a></li>
      <li><a href="news.html">NEWS</a></li>
      <li><a href="rumours.html">RUMOURS</a></li>
      <li><a href="match.html">VIDEOS</a></li>
      <li><a href="results.html">RESULTS</a></li>
    </ul>

   </div><!-- close nav -->

<div id="content">
<h1 style="text-align:center">Home Page</h1>
<!--<marquee bgcolor=orange width=800 height=15
scrollamount="3">Chelsea get Man United in the Champions League
Quarter Finals! </marquee>-->
<u><h3 class="headingIndent"><img src="images/sign.jpg"
class="floatRight">Next Game</h3></u>

well I was guessing that with the marquee you would have to keep amending the page whenever something new happened? If you used twitter you could write the information on there and bring it onto the page as well.

I have created a Like box but not sure how to position it on the page.

here is the code:

<script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/chelseafc-newscouk/195182893838137" width="292" colorscheme="dark" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
