New website for review

Featured Replies

I would appreciate constructive feedback on a new website with particular emphasis on usability and design.

The business concept is based on customising your own leather shoes online.

Many thanks.

I generally like your site, I get a bit impatient during the initials fade-in/fade-out on the "classic brogue" page though.

Like the look and feel of the website but think it needs a little more colour or interaction e.g. rollover effects on images etc

I love the layout and the design but as stated above a little colour would really bring it to life and grab visitors attention.

I agree totally with the above, as for constructive, how about:

home page: the 3 main pictures on mouse rollover will make them full colour

You need to search around the page a little to much to find what your looking for,you need things to stand out so customer sees immediatly all info.

Also when you are on a page for example I was just on the brogue customisation page and I can not go back simply. By this I mean I have to use the back browser button which for me is fine but not everybody knows you can do this and will therefore leave your site... Lost custom.

Ah actually I have spotted the nav bar when on custom page... PUT THIS ON HOME PAGE ALSO... and make it stand out a little more.

Overall nice site I do like the feel of it but needs a little tweak to give reason to stay. My initial thought if I was customer would be huh who are they I want to know about them and what they do, how can I contact them..... search, search, search, nope sorry no idea i'll research in Google. = lost business.

I have a question regarding the logo. Is that coupon-looking "star" after the logotype the actual logo?

Thank you for all the constructive replies, jason2212 agree and will probably address most. Rob aid - yes that is the logo, it is supposed to resemble a company stamp, i.e. putting your own stamp on something. Like all logos, they don't really mean alot until the brand is relatively well established.

Thank you again for all feedback.
