December 20, 201015 yr Hey guys, I'm looking to create a site allowing a user to generate a temporary, password protected chat-room (similar to chatzy.com). The user would then be able to share the URL with other users allowing them to enter the chat. It would be a simple version of live support chat-rooms you see on company websites - basically a password protected PHP shoutbox. Is there an existing script which could be adapted? If not, how would I go about creating this? Thanks very much, Sam.
December 27, 201015 yr http://www.ajaxdaddy.com/demo-ajax-chat.html Have a look at this. Its very simple and writes the chat window to a text file on your server. You could obviously use a database instead and then password protect the page trying to be accesed.
