Is it possible for a domain to have PR3 rank but no rank in alexa?

i have a few domains which i found on internet which are expired.

They have PR3 but no rank in alexa...

So is it profitable to re-register such domains and then will i be able to say sell it for atleast double the price i pay for the registration?

It is profitable without doubt. But yes, it is again possible that a domain may have a PR of 3 without any rank in Alexa. Alexa ranks pages upon the traffic it has got whereas PR is something allotted by Google to each page of a website mainly taking into account the site's quality and quantity of backlinks.

The two are pretty different concepts.
