PHP, jQuery and video uploads

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a few questions about video uploads and PHP.

First off all, how large once converted would a .FLV video (assuming that .FLV would be the best format to store the file on the server) of around 10mins be?

I have done some research and I could not seem to find a reasonable answer without actually trying it out first.

Secondly, if I was to develop a PHP, jQuery upload script that would take a range of video files and convert them to .FLV on the fly, what frameworks would be best to use, does anyone have any recommendations or sample code they could point me to so I can have a better understanding of what I am getting myself into?

Any help on this matter would be fantastic, has anyone done something similar before?

Thank you all,

S33ker.
