Hi, I am new to the SEO World and just wanted to find out, why whenever i search for my domain in google i.e. mydomain.co.uk the results page doesnt show any links with my domain?

 

Any reason why this is? and what i can do change this...

First you need to submit your site to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

 

and then, waiting... google bot crawl your site :-)

check your links on YAHOO EXPLORER, there you can see your backlinks...Google is slow to show backlinks but if you use yahoo is the same thing.

I will suggest to building a XML sitemap and creating a google webmaster tools and adding sitemap there. It will definitely help to indexed your most pages in the search engine.

Have you added proper title tags and meta keywords and description? Add site map to your website. Submit the website to directories and local search engines. Observe the results.

You can also try local listing in order to get indexed fast.
