When wil I master the codings?

Featured Replies

Wel that's the general question that I have.

I have been learning a lot at the company also at home but I can't write a load of codes yet from mine head without to search for it.

Good thing of DreamWeaver.

Atm I'm also starting to read the php scripting with no problems.

I know I'm studying all of this since June.

So only studied for 5 months right now but I wonder when will I be able to type those load of codes without searching it up or use a css program.

Yes at home I try to type it all up in Notepad manually.

thanks in advance

Its quite normal to have to look things up on google - don't worry about it. But don't rely on Dreamweaver to create your code as you will never learn that way! Only by doing, practicing, and reading you will gain a better understanding, but you will never know everything. I often find that once I have learnt more advanced things I start to forget the basics!

As stated above it will take time to be able to just write code but remembering it all is impossible, I find that I remember the elements that I use daily and other bits of code needing to do a quick google search.

I wouldnt worry about using google to find code as I would imagine like myself many web designers do this when stuck as it is quick and easy.

10 years of programming and I still pretty much every day need to refer to documentation or google to get help. Sometimes I can spend a good chunk of the day looking up how to resolve a bug.

Cheers, Nick

As long as you don't use Dreamweaver's Design View, Dreamweaver is a great text editor. Clicking buttons to insert things is where you start to forget code.

And I doubt there's a single web designer who doesn't have to search Google now and again :)

At home, I have used always Notepad and I´m not allowed to use only Notepad but dreamweaver at work which is kinda a shame.

But I´m glad I ain´t the only one who need to search now and then.
