Personal Portfolio review

Featured Replies

My personal portfolio site is live and was created to help me learn HTML and CSS.

It would be great to get some feedback on the look and style of the pages.

I am mainly a designer who works with developers so please go easy on the code side of things but all feedback is welcome (i know the feedback form area needs some layout work. PHP was a nightmare :)

Thanks

Mike

You only just learnt HTML/CSS and you produced this?!

The banner is a great idea, one of the best creative pieces I've seen online for a while, really like that.

I think areas to work on would be the navigation bar, looks a little out of place. Would be good if you could make that seamlessly integrate with your banner a bit more i.e. lack of extra background colour.

The fonts like 'latest work' could be changed to stand out more, try downloading some if you're use to Photoshop, perhaps use the same font but smaller as you did in your banner?

Oh, I'm not really sure I like the typewriter/payment machine thingy and the bottom right of the page!

This has a great basis and with a few improvements can be a great design, it's really impressive for someone just starting out.
