July 14, 201016 yr Hi, I have been developing my own web site over time. Now, I am not a professional web designer so I would appreciate the opinions or comments of those who work in the trade.
July 14, 201016 yr Author Yes a URL would be rather useful. I must be having a bad day http://www.sketch3d.co.uk Thanks!!
July 14, 201016 yr quick look feedback: the navigation font is too small the background makes things look messy, especially when you get onto the examples page on the examples page, the content box is pushed out to the right (IE8 & Chrome) personally not a huge fan of all the grey, there is no contrast on the site not keen on the idea of installing extra software to view the 3D plans maybe lose the Flash thingy on all but the Home page. It becomes distracting when trying to read the content on other pages.
July 14, 201016 yr The header looks a bit cheap; especially in Comic Sans MS; and I think the site is a bit too gray, as said above. And yes, the navigation font is definately too small.
July 15, 201016 yr Author Much appreciated, Thanks. Fresh eyes are very useful when it comes to getting things to look right visually. I will start tackling the simple tasks first such as the navigation text, and will get through a revisit of the other comments as I can. The extra plugin for the 3D I am afraid it the only way that part of it will work. Flash isn't up to the task when it comes to complex 3D navigation. (Large high poly models)
