June 21, 201016 yr Hi All, I've been using PS CS4 64bit on this machine for months without any problems then suddenly last week it crashed every time I wanted to Save for Web. It continues to do so. Here's the set up: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.50Ghz 4Gb Ram (2Gb assigned to PS) NVidia Geforce 8400 GS OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit PS CS4 ver: 11.0.2 I have reset the preferences (Ctrl Alt) several times and have not installed any plugins recently. The 32bit version works fine. The only thing I haven't done is re-install the software. Looking around this seems an issue without much of an answer. Any ideas anyone? Regs, Numb
June 21, 201016 yr How much free space do you have available on your primary drive? (Usually C:) That's my stab in the dark I never had a problem on my pc, and we have very similar hardware.
June 21, 201016 yr This is probably pretty obvious but had you installed any updates just prior to the start of this problem? If so, might be worth removing those and rolling back to the previous one(s). If not, a full uninstall then reinstall, albeit a pain in the ass, is usually a pretty safe bet... Kyle
June 21, 201016 yr Author @bocaj Soz cant tell ya exactly cos I'm out of the office now but I can say Ive probably got about 50gb spare - if not more. @kyle I think there was a windows updates last week but can't be sure it coinsided. I've not run any adobe updates for a while. I think I will have to bite the bullet and uninstall it and start from scratch. Damn!!! Thank's for ay help guys. Regs, Numb
June 21, 201016 yr I’m with bocaj and run similar hardware to you and ps64 is running fine, can’t be the windows 7 updates as I installed them as well. The only other thing is size of file being saved, PS doesn’t like large files in "save for web" Sorry looks like a re-install
June 24, 201016 yr Author Well I finally did a reinstall and all is working fine now. I'm now back to version 11.0, so it may be an Adobe undate that possibly caused it. Great that for a premium priced piece of software (well premium priced in the UK anyway!!!) Thanks for a help guys. Regs, Numb
