Hi. I'm trying to get my Photoshop skills off the ground and finally got round to finishing a mock up in Photoshop I'm happy with. Pretty much my first mockup I've completed, I usually give up half way through a design when I don't like it.

 

Just curious to know what anyone thinks I should/shouldn't do in future designs.

I really like it, it is clean, simply to read and navigate (from what I can see) and provides relevant content on the first page. Nice and stylish too

 

The only thing that looks a little odd to me is the shadow on the right hand side RSS and Blog headers, makes them look a little out of place.

 

If this really is your first attempt, very well done!

I was thinkin' that too Leon, you're probably right, I should of left the shadow off. Not entirely satisfied with the arrow on the slider either, so confused when it comes to illustrator...
