Hi Guys,

 

I need to resize a barcode, so you can imagine it needs to be proportionate, pressing down the shift key doesn’t seem to do anything and rescale it through the object>transform works but the barcode ends up as a black blob as opposed to individual lines, any ideas how to do this?

Hey mebo,

 

Im using CS4, but it should be the same/similar on most versions:

 

1. Select the whole barcode.
   
2. Right Click > Transform > Scale
   
3. Options > Scale Stroke & Effects (tick the box).
   
4. Resize to your hearts content.
   

I see the problem. Scaling seems working but at 1st you need to change those lines from stroke to solid fill.

Just use Object>Expand menu, then try to scale it. Hope You will manage now with this.

Just highlight the object, hold down shift and drag, Shift hold it in Proportion.
