Spent all of today putting together this homepage... decided to let you lot have a look and a critique so I know whether I'm on the right track or whether to go back to square one!

Check out my site PLEASE ;)

None of the links work as it is ONLY the homepage but this page is mostly complete... tell me what do you think?

Check out the original, minimalistic (lazy!?) one page design by clicking here! so that you can compare!

Thanks a lot for your help in advance

regards,

nuksies

I like it! Nice, clean and straight to the point!

I've seen quite few driving schools websites before, without any luck to get me!

I think you did a good job and you are in a good path! Keep going!

Just one point, I would like to suggest...

In my opinion, the icons that you use inside the banner are quite misleading for the content. To be honest, in the very first seconds I opened it, I got the impression that you do websites. Of course after start reading, I understood how wrong I was! hehe

Maybe you should consider to change them to some more relevant with what you do and offer.

Maybe it's just me.

wait and see what the rest think, too! :)

well done again and keep it fun! ;)

I would put the navigation at the top next to the logo instead of underneath the content - its a bit strange there.

edit: and yeah it definately needs some kind of tagline to sum up what you do, and what you are offering. Its not immediately clear.

Nice otherwise though :)

@pzaf -I have changed the icons... the ones before were only placeholders! Thanks a lot for your help.

@mrchristoph - I agree about the navigation looking very wrong... it was more temporary but I'll probably do as you suggest and put it to the right of the logo! Also, thanks for the tip about a tagline, I'll definitely do that!

@SEO Guy - as I said, this is only the homepage just to make sure I'm on the right track. I'm also glad you like the logo!

Thanks to all three of you for your really useful feedback and help. Anyone else got anything to say?

I'm not sure whether the red on dark background suits the business (L's Angels), a lighter colour scheme may have worked better, or possibly just changing the red.

Great site though!

Thanks for the feedback ashley - unfortunately the red & black are company colours and part of the rest of the finalised 'brand image' but thanks anyway!
