As a newcomer to this site, someone else may have posted an item about this subject but I'll post it here just in case.

The Government has a new initiative to get British businesses online and it's free. That's free and potential income lost to web designers. These are free websites and templates. I did initially think this wasn't much of a threat as there aren't many templates to chose from and are quite frankly, crap. But I now realise these templates can be altered quite drastically to look nothing like the originals.

This 'helpful' initiative aims to get 100000 businesses online by the end of the year.
