Review My Website Please

Featured Replies

Hi

I started this website last year.

I haven't been able to buy a domain yet as I am short on money, hence the .co.nr domain

Please could you tell me what you like and don't like about the site, and tell me how to improve.

As you go around the site there are various different text boxes etc, some which look good, some which don't.

Also could you tell me if I've done anything wrong, which I'm sure theres plenty of.

I'm only 13, so its hardly the most professional website in the world.

Click here to visit the site!

Thanks.

it is very good, for a 13 year old.

The code is very clean, is it chopped from a PSD file (all the classes are "layerX")?

The background to the text boxes on the front page makes it hard to read the text, as it goes to almost fluorescent blue. Try going to somewhere around #ddeeff at the darkest.

The backgrounds on the links (new and coming soon) are too high up - they almost touch the baseline of the link above it, which makes it less clear which link it is reffering to.

Btw, is the text on the global warming page nicked directly from Wikipedia?

Yes, the information on the global warming page is from Wikipedia, as I had absolutally no idea what to write there :-)

I don't see what you mean about the links being too high up.

The code was created from scratch by me, so no, it wasn't chopped from a PSD file.

Thanks for the review.

You probably havnt looked but it doesnt work in firefox at all. Text is all on top of each other and all over the place. Sorry

yep - this is how the webcams page looks in FF

for some reason the screenshot didn't include the video elements, which were all over the place...so I went back to the page again and reloaded it and the layout was kind of fixed, but not quite - not sure what is going on there to be honest.
