January 31, 201016 yr Hello, Just had a request for an ecommerce site with telephone verification and auto emails, wondering which cart is best for this ? I think auto emails is something they all do. ie when you make an order you get an email etc ? The telephone verifcation is something ive really never looked into before but just searching google i found http://www.telesign.com/ which can be integrated into magento so perhaps magento would be ideal for this ? Id prefer to use cs-cart myself but cant seem to find any telephone verification. Would there be any alternatives ? Thanks
January 31, 201016 yr Unfortunately I can't offer much help with this. The only option I could think of would be implementing some form of SMS script. If you don't think you can do the project, you probably shouldn't.
January 31, 201016 yr Author Thanks for the reply Elugh, ive been looking at telesign which has a module available for magento, x-cart, and others but those two would be my preferred carts to work with. The module itself looks fairly easy to integrate since telesign provide instructions on how to do so i think ill write a proposal to the client and see if anything comes back. Ive worked with magento before so really shouldnt have any trouble at all, though x-cart would also be an option i havent actually used it before  but im told its fairly easy to grasp, very similar to cs-cart.
January 31, 201016 yr Magento > X-Cart. I've worked with both and Magento is definitely the more powerful of the two. Its backend is nicer and it provides much better info/feedback/client experience IMO.

Good luck and for your sakes hopefully it'll be what the client requires. *I really should start looking into magento, *
February 2, 201016 yr Author Had a good chat with the client today and got some more info - The clients looking to sell xbox live subscriptions which makes things a little more complicated. From what i can gather he's purchasing upto 10 subscriptions at once and then looking to update the stock on the cart meaning no more than 10 can be bought at once. But wait he's looking to automate the process, so when an order is placed and payment is made the xbox live subscription code will be emailed to the buyer. The problem here is i cant seem to find much info on the digital product side with unique codes being sent. Downloadable products are fine since those are built into most carts but as as far unique codes go theres nothing that i can find. Has anyone ever come across anything like this before ? I suppose its very similar to gift certificates, just im not sure how id implement this. So just to sum it up the clients looking to sell xbox live subscriptions with the process being automated (code gets emailed to buyer), and it must also have telephone verification integrated - possibly using telesign. Thus far the closest thing ive found to unique codes is a module for zencart found here http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?p=834257#post834257, might give it a try later. Just wondered if anyone knows of anything remotely like what the clients asking for here. If i cant find anything i think im going to have to let this one go since my programming skills are only limited and probably wouldnt be up for this one.
