Accepting Credit Card Payments

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I am looking at building an E-Commerce website and i am trying to find a good company that will allow me to receive credit/debit card payments online.

I have found a couple of companies such as 'Sage' and RBS Worldpay who will allow me to receive credit/debit payments but it will cost me £15 - £20 per month, plus a percentage of every transaction.

I really do not want to pay a monthly fee to accept payment online!

I have also looked at Nochex who offer a free seller account which lets you recieve payment online for a small fee per transaction, but you can only accept up to £100 per transaction! They offer a merchant account for a one off fee of £50 where you can accept up to £1000 per transaction, but you have to keep a minimum of £3000 in your account as a retention!!

Does anyone know of a company that will allow me to receive credit card payments online where i do not have to pay a monthly fee? Paying a fee on every transaction is totally fine, but i do not want monthly fees! Preferably if it was free to setup that would be great :)

What is everyone else using?

Thanks for the help :clapping:

try gate2shop.com not free to setup but very friendly guys. They do not charge a monthly fee.

Use Paypal. It's widely recognised, works globally, dead easy to integrate and doesn't charge a monthly fee.

On my shop (in my signature) I used some PayPal classes and, while being fairly difficult, it is possible to accomplish on your own. PM me if you want some help.
