I've been thinking of stepping away from the personal portfolio and work under an Alias instead. I've come with this initial design.

Nice layout and style. Poor color pallet.

i personally don't think the colours are a problem - they could work.

 

the layout is the problem for me. it's hard to say exactly what doesn't sit right for me - the bottom half definitely works better in my opinion. the top just seems a bit messy -perhaps it's just one column too many at the top.

 

i think this design has plenty of potential though!

I look at the orange, then I try to read what's on the grey and it hurts my eyes.

Nice layout though, as empek said, you just need to sort the colours out.

Looks nice..specially your Lay-out but i agree to revise a lil' bitthe colours..
