I have an online shop and i need to know how to get more traffic and conversions?

 

like i said probably the most commonly asked question, i have done the usual adding to digg,reddit ect added original content but i dont know what the next step is???

I'm pretty sure lots of other people will chip in with ideas, but the main thing you should be trying to do is get genuine links to your site and build decent content around your online shop.

I`ve heard all about adding links to the site off forums, i`ve been trown off 3 this week for "spamming" all i`ve done is had site in sig.

 

I`ve tried looking for blogs to write on but just about everything has already been written.

 

Submitting to search engines is this just going to say yahoo and typing submit site then doing so?

 

My site is at the top off google and yahoo for key word led gu10 should get a lot off hits according to google keyword tool...

 

But i dont know what the next step is to make more money, should i make more pages? and if so just add content and no products?

 

Its really p@@ing me off as i dont know what to do, i`m sure this is common knowledge to everyone else on here but i dont have a clue and what i`ve done hasnt worked...
