Advice needed re new social networking site launched.

Featured Replies

Advice needed please.

I have recently launched a new spiritual social network that is for people interested in spirituality and also for complementary practitioners.

Quite a bit of offline and online marketing is being done, and the site is 3 months old with c50+ members pcm. I am making it totally free to join.

I have invested quite a lot in this site and it has been custom-built.

I am concerned about the continuing high costs of getting imrovements done by the web company I use and wonder if I should try to transfer the site to a free program that does the same (but there is much customisation in the site). However funds are now almost all used up...

Can anyone help with views as to whether it would actually be worth transferring it over to another social network program, (bearing in mind the custom aspects) and if so which one(s)?

And how to get this site to build membership faster?

Also, does anyone know of a good designer/hosting company who can host this site and make edits at a cost-effective price?

There are tweaks to be made to the site (eg the forum needs to change so you don't have to re-logon), and some other improvements. But it is the cost factor. So spend some more now, or wait and keep on with the site as it is?

Thnx...
