Complicated Nav Buttons

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I've been asked to built a wedding website for a friend.

He has designed the page but I have never built buttons like the ones he has designed.

Can anyone tell me how this can be done, or maybe it can’t!!

thanks in advance

You could use image maps. although probably not the best way.

I would style the menu in a standard li, giving each one an id and then giving it styling to fit it's position. It may end up being a bit messy, but probably the best taking in aspects of accesibility etc..

Hi Gaz,

Thanks for the reply.

I've been using the <li> list to built buttons in other sites but they have always been horizontal or vertical lines and in a set order. Can i still use this method for the buttons being in a random spread onscreen?

Thats why you need to style each one individualy, giving them either margins or left and top positions.

from a usability and seo perspective, I'd say....come up with a different menu!
