Confused! Domain name ownership issue

Featured Replies

I'm more than slightly confused here. I bought a domain name end of last month but when I type the url in, it goes to someone else's site! The address is www.filthytees.co.uk

I've checked mu invoice and all looks ok but got to admit i'm not sure what i'm looking for in heartinternet to see what's wrong but I know it doesn't point to anything of my creation! I'll send them a ticket tomorrow but can anyone shed any light on this??

Just used Whois and it says it was registered 5 days before me to a 123 customer? So how did I buy and pay for it 5 days later??!!

It sounds like a problem with Hearts order system, if it showed the domain as available for registration.

Not much you can do if it's registered to someone else.

Definately but it also seems strange that it was registered only 5 days before? I'll send them a ticket tomorrow and see what they say...

"Thank you for your patience. It appears that the domain was already registered on the 25th August 2009, I'm sorry that the system showed that it was available for registration. I've now processed the refund immediately for you, please allow 5 working business days for this to appear on your bank statement."

Not a happy bunny, how could a registration slip thru the net (no pun intended!) like that??!!
