a hosting provider im uploading a site to does not have php enabled for which my client wont activate due to there hosting provider charging extra.

Is there another way to create a contact from without using PHP ive tried asp for which is proving difficult as mentioned in my other posts.

Im using dreamweaver cs4 for the site design

Forms can be created in basic HTML

Where the php/javascript etc comes in, is the validation of the data e.g. necessary fields are not left blank etc

Therefore your way forward is possibly HTML + Javascript

when i fill in the current form on the site and click send it pops up a window asking me if i want to open or save the formtoemail.php script?

is this happning becuase of no php on the server?

If this is th reason please could you point me in the right direction to find out more on html and java script

If you have access to an different php enabled server you could direct the form action to that server instead. Then process the form and redirect back to the original site.

Bit of a hack but it works.

have the messages sent to an email on my server, then auto forward to there email address which will then auto forward to there central address.

in your form simply use the action attribute:

<form name="contactForm" id="contactForm" action="http://myPHPserver.com/formProcess.php">
