October 8, 200917 yr Hi, A client's email has been blacklisted for some reason! I used mxtoolbox to check and only one company has blacklisted them. Can someone tell me why this happens and what I need to do to get them "unblacklisted" Thanks, Jo.
October 8, 200917 yr There could be any number of reasons why. Unlikely to be a serious misconfiguration if it's only one company, unless the whole setup is very new. Do you know whether the client has been sending out large quantities of spam? That'd be the obvious one. Or it could even be as simple as one or two people reporting one or two of their emails as spam even if they're not. How to get removed from the 'blacklist' depends on the provider in question. You may be able to find policies on their websites.
October 9, 200917 yr Author Thanks for your feedback. To be honest, I suspect that my client has been sending out quite a lot of mail which could be seen as spam. I'm going to have to ask them. We can also turn it to our advantage I think by telling him that we can manage a safe, reliable and legal email campaign for them - making them aware of all the issues involved. Jo
